Caregiving 101: Denial
Denial can be a wonderful thing, hence the use of it as a coping mechanism. I hate to say it, but sadly denial is not a viable long-term coping strategy. The first step to managing caregiver stress is to be aware that you are experiencing it. Here is a resource to do just that:
Give it a try. It can't hurt, and it might help.
Take pride in what you're doing, because you're doing your best. Now, back to my coffee.
