    Rachel is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oregon. Rachel completed her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Rachel worked with houseless mothers and children in Englewood, Colorado and families with neurodivergent children from birth to 3 years of age until she went to complete her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at Lewis and Clark in Portland, Oregon. Rachel has worked in mental health outpatient settings in Portland, Oregon since 2013.

    Rachel has a preference in working with adult female identified clients who have experienced trauma or experience anxiety or depressive symptoms. Rachel has a comfort in working with clients from different cultures, races and ethnicities. Rachel is LGBTQ+ affirming and hopes to offer a welcoming space to all.

    Rachel utilizes trauma informed practices with client centered approaches to support a safe place for clients. Rachel incorporates CBT/DBT, mindfulness and motivational interviewing approaches to support clients in meeting their goals. Rachel believes it is important to listen, hear and honor the experiences lived by others and healing begins once an open and non judgmental space is created for one’s experiences.

    Rachel is practicing a hybrid model and will be meeting with clients in person or Telehealth based on the preferences of the client.

    Rachel lives in Portland with her family and enjoys reading mystery novels, hiking, doodling, and playing tennis. Rachel is often with her young child and understands the challenging balance of becoming a mother during a pandemic and the added obstacles this brings to our lives.

    Fees

    • 60 min Intake charged to  insurance – $175
    • 50 min therapy session charged to insurance – $160

    OON (Out of Network)

    If you have an insurance plan which Rachel does not accept, we can help you for possible reimbursement from your insurance provider. Necessary documentation (Counseling only) will be provided to submit your sessions to your insurance companies. If you like to use your OON benefits and have out of network mental health coverage, we are able to bill your sessions directly to your insurance company. Please be aware of your out of network mental health benefits before scheduling. We encourage you to call your carrier to find out your OON benefits.

    Please check your out of network coverage carefully by asking the following questions to your insurance company:

    • Do I have mental health insurance benefits?
    • What is the coverage amount per session?
    • How many sessions are covered?
    • Do my benefits cover sessions with an Out of Network Provider?

    Rachel offers a sliding scale fee for those who are unable to afford services. Spaces are subject to availability

    Self Pay Option

    If you prefer to pay out of pocket, MindTree accepts all payments from all major credit cards, checks, cash, or HSA ( Health Savings Account). The following rates apply to self pay clients.

    • Intake Assessment 60 mins – $160 (Initial Consultation)
    • Counseling session 50 mins – $130
