Individual Psychotherapist (Adults and Elders)
Ayurvedic Psychology Consultant
I am here to listen to your story to gently help you sort through what might feel like a big overwhelming pile of mess, whether from self-criticism, unwanted emotions, too much stress, unresolved interpersonal traumas, a nagging sense of dissatisfaction with life circumstances or career path, or just feeling stuck. These issues may be manifesting in a variety of ways such as anxiety, depression, burnout, emotional intensity, physical health challenges, and/or relationship issues. Together we’ll uncover the truth of what your pain is trying to tell you about yourself, what’s really important to you, and what is and is not working in your life. This is such an important precursor to lasting change, and it’s not easy or necessary to do it alone.
You deserve a safe space to heal. Call or send me a message through my website contact form to schedule an appointment or set up a free phone consultation to start your journey today.
My therapeutic style is an integrative and trauma-informed approach to psychotherapy that acknowledges the importance of body/mind/soul in holistically treating the underlying mental/emotional imbalances which disrupt a sense of well-being by interfering with the natural process of digesting and integrating life experiences. I will work collaboratively with you to empower you to develop an increased sense of self-awareness, understanding and acceptance, to make meaningful connections between the past and present, and in making lasting changes that work effectively in your life through non-judgmental exploration of all aspects of life.
I am a Registered LPC intern and board certified counselor (NCC) with two Master’s degrees, one in biology and one in Professional Mental Health Counseling. I am also a certified Ayurvedic Practitioner. I emphasize the importance of including a complete lifestyle history along with an individualized assessment through the integration of various theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic psychotherapy, Control Mastery Theory, Interpersonal Neurobiology, Psychoneuroimmunology (PNI), and Ayurveda.
My specializations include long-term psychotherapy, stress management, trauma/complex trauma, self-care/well-being, and Ayurvedic Psychology. I also have a special interest in working with college students, other professionals in the health and healing professions, and those interested in addressing the mental/emotional aspects of physical symptoms including gastrointestinal disorders such as IBS and SIBO as well as other health challenges.
$108 standard 50 minute session
I do not accept insurance at this time.
However, paying out of pocket instead of using your insurance has some benefits such as not requiring a diagnosis of a mental disorder and having more control over the privacy of your health information and the length of treatment, which is helpful especially when engaging in longer term (not brief) psychotherapy.
I also offer a sliding scale based on financial need.
